Meet The Team
Garry Edgar
Originally from Perth, Garry was trained at the Murdoch University Campus. After graduating in 1990, Garry commenced with the Wembley Veterinary Hospital in 1995, working briefly with the previous owner, Dr George Endacott. George retired at the end of 1995, after 23 years of working at the hospital, leaving Dr Edgar to take over in his stead.
Dr Edgar became the third veterinarian to manage the Wembley Veterinary Hospital since 1940. He has many special interests, which include Feline Medicine, Reconstructive and Orthopedic Surgery, Dermatology, and Endocrinology. Aside from his his veterinary work, Dr Edgar has served on various professional bodies and committees. He is passionate about Animal Welfare and has been on the Western Australian Emergency Welfare Advisory Committee, with his interests in cats resulting in him becoming a member of the Advisory Committee that implemented the new Cat Act.
